CenterPlace

CenterPlace, a community center nestled between the YMCA building, the Mirabeau Universal Children’s Park site, and the Spokane River Centennial Trail, houses a senior citizens center, an education wing, and a community performing space.  The site is particularly attractive in terms of natural beauty, with granite outcrops, the nearby Spokane River, and native forests and woodlands.  The design program, developed with the client and stakeholders, blends the building into the landscape, with opportunities for break-out spaces, outdoor gathering spaces, and landscape spaces scaled for outdoor classes and gatherings.
